Journey to Pullman

Experience luxurious rail travel aboard the classic 1930’s
Pullman car Dover Harbor—traveling to Chicago, IL.
Your trip starts on Tuesday, May 28th with an
afternoon departure from New York, NY with the Lake
Shore Limited, a train that Dover Harbor traveled when
operating in Pullman’s heyday. Enjoy cocktails and hors
d’oeuvres as we travel up the gorgeous Hudson River.
Dinner will be served after departing Albany as we head
west on the ex-NYC Water Level Route. Later, snuggle
into your authentic Pullman berth for the overnight trip
across Ohio. Awake to a freshly prepared breakfast prior to
our mid-morning arrival at Chicago’s Union Station.
You’ll have more than five full days to enjoy this magnificent
city’s sights including the Lakefront/Navy Pier, Museum
of Science and Industry, the Magnificent Mile, art
museums and much more! And railfans, make your way to
Pullman on June 1 & 2 to enjoy the Historic Pullman
Railroad Days festivities—Dover Harbor will be there!
Then on June 4th, Dover Harbor takes leave of Chicago
departing in the evening with the eastbound Cardinal. As
the sun fades, enjoy dinner, socialize in the lounge, read, play
cards, and relax before retiring to your Pullman berth. By
morning, you’ll be traveling through the scenic mountains
of West Virginia. Savor brunch as the train heads
eastward into the New River Gorge. The scenery continues
across the Blue Ridge into Virginia. An early dinner will
be served prior to the early evening arrival in Washington,
DC. After a race up the Northeast Corridor Dover Harbor
will make a late-night return to New York.
